This file is used by an organisation to provide a systematic means of proactively controlling and preventing the exposure to and spread of COVID-19 in the workplace, allowing an employer to comply with the Department of Employment and Labour's directive to manage COVID-19 in the workplace.
WHY IS THIS FILE IMPORTANT
This file is important because it contains details of all the important measures that are required and undertaken by an organisation to proactively prevent the exposure to and spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. This provides evidence to an inspector that the organisation has taken appropriate measures to prevent the exposure and spread of COVID-19. This file is mandatory under the Department of Employment and Labour's directive, in accordance with the Disaster Management Act and its availability shows that the employer is complying with the directive in these respects.

COVID-19 risk assessment to determine the COVID-19 risk level in the workplace and to identify mitigating control measures.
COVID-19 policy protocol that sets out the responsibilities of COVID-19 in the workplace and provides a systematic approach for undertaking actions to keep employees safe from the virus.
COVID-19 awareness posters as mandated by the direction to keep awareness in the workplace.
COVID-19 induction training manual that is used for general communication of COVID-19 preventative actions.
COVID-19 screening checklists to be used for daily screening of employees against COVID-19 symptoms.
COVID-19 mandatory appointment letters to ensure that responsible persons are appointed to implement, control and enforce the COVID-19 prevention programme.
Information on proper sanitising, masks and their use and social distancing.
