HAZARD WARNING SIGNAGE DETAILS
Hazard warning signs can be easily identified by their design: a black pictogram on a yellow triangle with a black border. They are used to provide cautionary advice of any dangers, perils, risks or dangerous circumstances on the premises.
This hazard warning sign is the "Methane Hazard" sign (code - WW9), whose pictogram is a black letter "M" to indicate the potential dangers of methane gas being present. These signs should be displayed in areas where methane gas sources may be present (mine shafts, methane gas facilities, etc).
This sign is constructed from ABS plastic and has the dimensions 190mm x 190mm.
WHO NEEDS TO USE THESE HAZARD WARNING SIGNS?
These hazard warning signs are required by companies who have dangers, perils, risks or dangerous circumstances on the premises that are not currently indicated so that they can be indicated and easily identified and persons on the premises can be made aware of their existence.
WHY ARE HAZARD WARNING SIGNS IMPORTANT?
These hazard warning signs are important because they create awareness to persons on the premises of any dangers, perils, risks or dangerous circumstances that exist that are important in the interests of health and safety on the premises. Their use allows any dangers, perils, risks or dangerous circumstances to be located quickly and easily.
This also provides evidence to an inspector that an organisation is creating awareness of any dangers, perils, risks or dangerous circumstances in the interests of health and safety and is therefore complying with legislation in this respect.
