WHY IS THIS VERIFICATION REQUIRED?

After the Health and Safety Audit has been conducted, this on-site verification inspection is required to ensure and verify that the finding as per the Action Request has been rectified. This inspection is conducted by a SafetyWallet Compliance Influencer on behalf of the user, on the user's site and forms part of the audit AR process for Health and Safety compliance in the workplace for the user.

WHY IS THIS VERIFICATION INSPECTION IMPORTANT?

This verification inspection is proof that a proper check has been made to verify and ensure that the finding has been rectified. This means that findings (AR's) for health and safety must be checked upon for progress or completion and new hazards identified in the workplace. Once identified, these hazards can be prioritised and a plan of action determined to ensure they are resolved. This also means an inspector can see that regular checks are being made concerning general work areas and safety requirements, meaning the employer is being compliant in checking the workplace and proactive in identifying new hazards and resolving these.

VERIFICATION INSPECTION FREQUENCY

This verification inspection needs to be conducted when the client has confirmed that the AR has been rectified and the client has approved the inspection process. Upon verification the AR will be closed on the system and the compliance graph updated.

This means that when ordering this type of on-site verification inspection, the order should be made for the total number of inspections required.

VALIDITY

This verification inspection needs to be conducted by a person competent and appointed to do so and also needs to be signed and dated by that person. The inspection must be kept on record and made available to any interested parties who may wish to see it or refer to it at a later time.
